Grouting
- SCREED
Cementitious mortar screed at least 4 cm thick made of quickly evaporating, normally setting binder such as KRONOS by Technokolla and siliceous aggregates with 0 to 8 mm continuous grain size, reinforced with synthetic fibers and/or metal netting. Screed resistance must be 28-30 N/mm2 after 28 days, while it must be possible to begin fixing the ceramic, marble and natural stone tiles 24-48 hours after application. Screed reinforcing with fibers such as FS-18 by Technokolla and/or 5x5 cm mesh galvanized metal netting with 2 mm diameter wire installed at 1/3rd of the screed thickness. Dosage for 1 m3 of 0 to 8 mm aggregate: 250 kg KRONOS 150 l. water 1 kg FS-18 fibers
- FLOORING
Floor and skirting covered in body-coloured porcelain stoneware in up to 3600 cm2 formats on a cementitious mortar screed, using highly flexible cementitious adhesive suitable for fixing vitrified stoneware, such as TECHNO-ONE by Technokolla, conforming to European standard EN 12004 C2TE. 4-5 mm gaps grouted with low modulus cementitious grouting such as TECHNOCOLORS or TECHNOSTUK 2-12 or TECHNOSTUK G.F. or TECHNOSTUK G.G. or TOPSTUK by Technokolla, conforming to European standard EN 13888 CG2. The residue humidity in the substrate must not be more than 8% to prevent stains from forming in the grouting. Joints sealed with silicone sealant such as ACESIL-310 and synthetic cord by Technokolla after the substrate has been prepared with PRIMERSIL primer applied with a brush throughout the entire depth of the joint. To proceed in the correct way, it is advisable to apply silicone before cementitious grouting.
