Fixing on façades
- CLADDING EXTERIOR WALLS
Exterior walls clad with refined porcelain stoneware, single-fired or natural stone tiles applied to a suitable and correctly weathered substrate (3 months for concrete, 3 weeks for plaster). Tiles in formats of up to 1600 cm2 fixed with cementitious adhesive for exteriiors, such as TECHNOSTAR, conforming to European standards EN 12004 C2TE, EN 12002 S1. Formats of up to 2100 cm2 can be fixed with cementitious based two-pack adhesive such as TECHNOLA blended with TC-LASTIC latex, or quick-setting two-pack adhesive such as TECHNORAP-2 by Technokolla, conforming to European standards EN 12004 C2TE, EN 12002 S2 (Technola with TC Lastic) C2FT, S1 (Technorap-2). 4-5 mm gaps grouted with low modulus cementitious grouting such as TOPSTUK by Technokolla, conforming to European standard EN 13888 CG2. Expansion joint every 12 m2, grouted with NEUSIL by Technokolla, in the case of stone cladding. If ceramic cladding is fixed, use ACESIL-310 by Technokolla and, in both cases, after synthetic cord has been positioned in the joint.
To proceed in the correct way, it is advisable to apply the silicone before cementitious grouting.
