Heating floors
- SCREED Cementitious mortar screed whose minimum thickness depends on the radiating system used, with radiating panels for heating purposes installed in the floor, using quickly evaporating, normally setting binder such as KRONOS by Technokolla and siliceous aggregates with 0 to 8 mm continuous grain size, reinforced with synthetic fibers and/or metal netting. Screed resistance must be 28-30 N/mm2 after 28 days, while it must be possible to begin the tile fixing procedure 3 days after casting. Screed reinforcing with fibers such as FS-18 by Technokolla and/or 5x5 cm mesh galvanized metal netting with 2 mm diameter wire installed at 1/3rd of the screed thickness. Dosage for 1 m3 of 0 to 8 mm aggregate: 250 kg KRONOS; 150 l. water: 1 kg FS-18 fibers. - FLOORING Flooring and skirting in ceramic tiles of up to the 3600 cm2 format, fixed to a KRONOS screed with cementitious adhesive such as TECHNOSTAR by Technokolla, in compliance with European standards EN 12004 C2TE, EN 12002 S1, or TECHNOLA with TC-LASTIC, in compliance with European standards EN 12004 C2TE, EN 12002 S2. 4-5 mm gaps grouted with low modulus cementitious grouting such as TECHNOCOLORS or TOPSTUK by Technokolla, conforming to European standard EN13888 CG2. Joints sealed with ACESIL-310 by Technokolla, with the addition of synthetic cord. To proceed in the correct way, it is advisable to apply the silicone before cementitious grouting. Amount of adhesive required: 4 kg/m2 Amount of grouting required: 0.35 kg/m2 (30x30 cm format, 4 mm gaps) NOTE: HOW TO FIX FLOOR CLADDING TO HEATING FLOORS: 1 - turn on the heating 3 days after applying KRONOS 2 - increase the temperature by 5°C each day until reaching the operating rate 3 - keep the heating system at this temperature for 7 days 4 - turn off the heating for 3 days 5 - turn the heating on again and bring it to half the operating rate with 5°C increases per day 6 - fix the tiles |
